The Village Residents Sip and Paint with Deborah Irish

Deborah Irish joined us at The Village for another fantastic sip and paint session! This month, we painted a charming elephant splashing in the water, all while enjoying a glass of wine. 🍷 Our residents had a blast showcasing their artistic talents and enjoying great company. A big thank you to Deborah and Art Uncorked for making this class such a great experience! 🎨🐘✨

3-Dimensional Wooden Puzzle Exhibit by Resident Don

We showcased Don’s 3D Models in our latest Art Wall Exhibit, featuring photos and negative wood panels of his amazing creations.

From being born in Kansas, living in Arizona, and purchasing a home and living in Menifee, Don and his lovely wife, Fran, moved to the Village in 2021. Don and his wife liked The Village Hemet so much that they convinced his sister, La Vina, to move here, as well. Though we deeply miss Fran, who is no longer with us, Don has continued to share his creativity and passion with our community.

Don’s background as a Tool and Die Maker and model maker for plastics may have sparked his interest in crafting intricate 3-dimensional wooden puzzles—a hobby he’s truly mastered.

The Village welcomed the talented Anthony & Doniele Bernasconi back for a summer pool party, and it was a splash! Residents donned their favorite swimsuits and pool covers, enjoying hits from Jimmy Buffet, Christopher Cross, the Beach Boys, and more. Some even took a refreshing dip in the pool after the performance! 🎶🏊‍♂️ To top it off, we enjoyed a delicious freshly prepared brunch by our team.😋

Writing Your Life Stories with Sandy Hubbard

Have you ever wanted to share your life stories with family and friends? Our recent “Writing Your Life Stories” event with Sandy Hubbard gave our residents the opportunity to do so! Residents gathered with notepads, pens, and pencils to recall their personal journeys. No writing experience was needed—just a willingness to share and reflect.

We loved seeing our community come together to document their unique experiences! Thank you, Sandy, for facilitating this event!

“Norman asked me when I was going to do a concert again, and I said not until we get a new piano in the Pavilion.” Well, Joyce… we finally made that happen, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to showcase it to our community!
